(EWI) has been named the exclusive USA distributor for Merida electric
bicycles. Merida, a publicly traded company, is one of the world’s
largest builders of premium quality bicycles. Merida is internationally
recognized for its innovative designs, attention to detail and exacting
standards of quality and durability.
Recently, Merida and EWI celebrated the relationship and the conclusion
of five day’s technical training for EWI’s staff. Merida’s
Senior VP of R&D, David Horng, saluted the new partnership by saying,

EWI is working exclusively with specialty retailers to build its Merida
dealer base. Gary Coffrin, EWI President and founder, said, "I started

riding experience. That is why we sell our Merida electric bicycles to
specialty retailers and do not sell electric bicycles on the Internet."
In a test of electric bikes held in Germany, the Merida PowerCycle™
received the top 5-Star rating. Tekniikan Maalima, the test’s administrator,
reported, "Merida has checked products of competitors carefully and
their own construction solutions are a few steps ahead."
